Prayer alarm not ringing? Fix it in 2 minutes

Some Android phones stop apps in the background to save battery, so the athan alarm never fires. Pick your phone below and switch the app to run freely in the background.

This is a phone setting, not a bug in the app. The steps are the same for any prayer app.

Xiaomi / Redmi / Poco

MIUI / HyperOS
  1. Open Settings > Apps > Manage apps > Namaz Time > Battery saver, and choose No restrictions.
  2. On the same page, turn on Autostart.
  3. Open the Recents screen, press and hold the Namaz Time card, then tap the lock icon so the app is not cleared.

Oppo / Realme / OnePlus

ColorOS / OxygenOS
  1. Open Settings > Apps > App management > Namaz Time > Battery usage, and turn on Allow background activity.
  2. Turn on Allow auto-launch (Startup manager) for Namaz Time.
  3. Turn off any option named Freeze or Sleep for this app, then lock it in Recents.

Vivo / iQOO

FuntouchOS / OriginOS
  1. Open Settings > Battery > Background power consumption management (High background power consumption).
  2. Find Namaz Time and allow it.
  3. Open Settings > Apps > Autostart and turn on Namaz Time.

Samsung

One UI
  1. Open Settings > Battery > Background usage limits.
  2. Open Never sleeping apps and add Namaz Time.
  3. Also remove Namaz Time from Sleeping apps and Deep sleeping apps.

Menu names differ slightly between versions. If you cannot find one, search for "battery" or "autostart" in Settings.

Check it works

Open Namaz Time, go to Settings and set a reminder for 2 minutes from now. Lock the screen and wait. If it rings, you are done.
